I'm rubbing my arms after a couple of hours in the kitchen...and boy do they feel soft! My faithful assistant (Mom) and I just got done making a beautiful batch of my Sea Buckthorn Facial Cream. I've never introduced this product online before, so while my arms are still soft and the cream is still warm, I thought I'd do a little SJSBAFC 101....um...yeah, bad acronym. (Simply Jen Sea Buckthorn Anti-aging Facial Cream 101). Here goes:
Sea Buckthorn Oil is a natural source of vitamin A, Vitamin E and several other tocopherols. It is reputed to be one of the best sources of natural antioxidants due to the high content of Vitamin C. Sea buckthorn oil effectively combats wrinkles, dryness, and other symptoms of dry, aged skin. It can also be used to promote healing of burns, eczema and small cuts or wounds. In addition, the UV-spectrum of the oil shows a moderate absorption in the UV-B range which makes sea buckthorn derived products attractive for sun care cosmetics.
Pomegranate Seed Extract can promote skin regeneration, stimulate self repair mechanisms, improve skin elasticity, and reduce wrinkles. Pomegranate Seed Oil has calming properties and is therefore useful in skin soothing formulas.
Calendula has great anti-inflammatory properties and vulnerary properties, making it excellent for help with stubborn wounds, ulcers, bed sores, varicose veins, bruises, rashes, eczema etc. This oil is great to help with sore, inflamed and itchy skin conditions, also for burns, eczema and diaper rash, as well as sore cracked nipples. Aloe Vera Juice is anti-inflammatory, anti- bacterial, and anti-viral. Aloe vera contains protein, calcium, magnesium, zinc, vitamins A, B12 and E, essential fatty acids and is naturally rich in Vitamin C, Amino acids, Enzymes (which are the life-principle in every live, organic atom and molecule of natural raw food, rejuvenate aged tissues and promote healthy skin). Aloe vera juice is said to be one of the finest body cleansers. The benefits of aloe vera are manifold. Aloe vera is used to treat first-degree burns for speedy healing. ReplyDeleteI'm just wondering whether you have the Sea Buckthorn Fruit oil or Sea Buckthorn Seed oil in the cream. They are extracted from different parts of the plant and have different compositions and benefits.

Hello! The Sea Buckthorn Oil I am using is extracted from the seeds! Here are a few details which you may already be aware of, but others may not:
ReplyDelete- Sea buckthorn seed oil does not stain as the fruit oil does.
- With both oils, a little goes a long way.
- Often, when a cream is made up of Sea Buckthorn Berry oil, it will stain the skin. If it is diluted enough with other carrier oils that it does not stain the skin, it is likely too diluted to offer much benefit to the skin.
- Sea buckthorn seed oil is light, non-staining & readily absorbed into the skin, can use under make-up, non-greasy.
- Clinical studies have shown sea buckthorn seed oil to heal many skin ailments such as rosacea and eczema
- Both oils (seed & fruit) absorb UV rays due to their super high beta-carotene content
